Alfalfa for dogs

Alfalfa elongs to the legume family.  It hass been used for over 1500 years in herbal medicines. The family hosts different plants such as; beans, peas, and other flowering plants.  This particular plant is a great source of Vitamin D, Vitamin K and Vitamin A, vitamins in the B group and E, minerals, fiber, calcium, beta-carotene, chlorophyll, high proteins and other fats, which is why alfalfa benefits dogs. Dogs that lack these type of vitamins can greatly benefit from alfalfa.  Animals are not the only ones to eat this nutritious plant.  Humans often eat Alfalfa in salads, soups, sandwiches.  Uses of this plant are also used for poor digestion, treat disorders of the kidney and the digestive track.  It can also reduce inflammation with arthritis, and allergies.
